Air to Port B forces the pistons inwards, causing the pinion to flip clockwise whilst the air is getting exhausted from Port A.

Air to Port A forces the pistons outwards, creating the pinion to switch clockwise whilst the air is getting fatigued from Port B.
Air to Port B forces the pistons inwards, leading to the pinion to flip counterclockwise even though the air is being fatigued from Port A.
